NEXTEER (01316) rose nearly 4%, as of the press release, up 3.81% to HKD 7.09, with a turnover of HKD 115.146 million. Guotai Haitong released a research report stating that by the third quarter of 2025, models such as Ideal i6, i8, Extreme 9X, and Chery Jetour G700 will enter mass production with R-EPS. In the first three quarters of 2025, the Asia-Pacific region will account for 49% of the order amount, with an annual estimated order of $5 billion. The steer-by-wire is expected to receive another designated point in the fourth quarter of 2025. NEXTEER had previously received a designated point for steer-by-wire from a global electric vehicle leader, with the order supporting L4 level autonomous driving and mobility services. The innovative product direct drive steering feel simulator has been launched, providing better steering feel simulation, suitable for compact and lightweight designs, supporting low and high-mounted designs, and empowering both consumers and car manufacturers. Guozi Guoji previously pointed out that in the first half of the year, NEXTEER won new orders totaling $1.5 billion, including domestic and overseas businesses of Chinese car companies, dual-pinion EPS and rear-wheel steering orders from European car companies, etc. The company maintains its unchanged target of $5 billion in orders for the year. In August, the company released a new product Motion IQ software suite, which can provide advanced vehicle dynamic functions for customers, such as silent steering wheel steering, hand-off detection, road surface detection, etc. This is both a fault prediction software and a model-based software development tool, which can accelerate product launch speed and reduce costs. It is expected that the company will gain more steer-by-wire-related projects in the second half of the year.
