On November 5th, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council issued an announcement on the cessation of the imposition of additional tariffs on some imported goods originating in the United States, as well as an announcement on the adjustment of the imposition of additional tariffs on imported goods originating in the United States. In order to implement the consensus reached in the China-US economic and trade negotiations, in accordance with the laws and regulations such as the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, the Customs Law of the People's Republic of China, and the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China, as well as basic principles of international law, approved by the State Council, from 1:01 pm on November 10th, 2025, the additional tariffs imposed as specified in the "Announcement of the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council on Imposing Additional Tariffs on Some Imported Goods Originating in the United States" (Tariff Commission Announcement No. 2 of 2025) will be ceased. The additional tariffs imposed as specified in the "Announcement of the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council on Imposing Additional Tariffs on Imported Goods Originating in the United States" (Tariff Commission Announcement No. 4 of 2025) will be adjusted, with the 24% tariff rate imposed on imports from the US continuing to be suspended within one year, while the 10% tariff rate on imports from the US will be retained.
