On November 4, the Hong Kong Land Registry released statistics for the month of October 2025. There were a total of 7190 building sale and purchase agreements submitted to the Hong Kong Land Registry in October, representing an increase of 4.7% compared to September and an increase of 22.8% compared to October of the previous year. The twelve-month moving average for building sale and purchase agreements in October was 6482, an increase of 1.7% from September and 25.3% from October of the previous year. The total value of building sale and purchase agreements in October was 579 billion Hong Kong dollars, an increase of 8.3% from September and 39.0% from October of the previous year.
Of the above agreements, there were 5714 residential building sale and purchase agreements in October, an increase of 1.3% from September and 21.7% from October of the previous year. The total value of residential building sale and purchase agreements in October was 511 billion Hong Kong dollars, an increase of 8.1% from September and 37.0% from October of the previous year.
