Concept stocks of stablecoins collectively fell, as of press time, Guotai Junan International (01788) fell by 14.75% to HK$3.18; Lion Rock Holdings (02562) fell by 6.39% to HK$8.5; Yunfeng Financial (00376) fell by 5.63% to HK$4.02; and Bright Smart Securities and Commodities Group (01428) fell by 4.17% to HK$8.96.
The concept stocks of stablecoins collectively fell, as of the time of writing, GUOTAI JUNAN I (01788) fell by 14.75% to 3.18 Hong Kong dollars; SYNAGISTICS (02562) fell by 6.39% to 8.5 Hong Kong dollars; YUNFENG FIN (00376) fell by 5.63% to 4.02 Hong Kong dollars; BRIGHT SMART (01428) fell by 4.17% to 8.96 Hong Kong dollars.
On the news front, Paul Chan Mo-po, the Financial Secretary of Hong Kong, recently stated at the Hong Kong Fintech week 2025 that the regulatory policy of the Hong Kong government towards stablecoins is very clear. Stablecoins are not for investment, but rather as a tool to facilitate cross-border transactions and real-world economic activities. Therefore, according to Hong Kong's licensing system, only applicants who can prove that they have real use cases and sustainable and robust business models backing them can be approved.
