Far-sighted Flag stock public offering received over 50 times oversubscription.
The first stock of Robotaxi in the world, WeRide-W (00800) publicly offered for sale in Hong Kong has ended on November 3. The upper limit of the offering price this time is HK$35 per share, with an entrance fee of approximately HK$3535.3 per hand. The public subscription received more than 50 times oversubscription. It is reported that the international placement portion of the company has been multiple times oversubscribed, attracting professional investors such as industrial investors, long-term funds, hedge funds, and high-net-worth individuals to subscribe enthusiastically. The grey market trading will open at 16:15 on November 5, and investor sentiment may be supported by two main factors. First, the founder and CEO Dr. Han Xu recently signed a voluntary lock-up agreement, promising not to reduce his shareholding in the company in the next three years. This move is seen by the market as the management's determination to the stable development of the company and confidence in the long-term value of the company. In addition, during the IPO, the company achieved a new breakthrough in its Middle East strategy, obtaining a city-level commercial license for pure unmanned Robotaxi in the UAE, further consolidating its first-mover advantage in the Middle East market. It is worth mentioning that in this Hong Kong listing, WeRide once again received investment support from global travel platform giants Uber, Grab, and the world's largest Tier 1 Bosch. According to the data from Zhishi Consulting, in 2024, WeRide holds a 21.8% market share in revenue generated by L4 and above level autonomous driving on city roads. In the second quarter of 2025, WeRide's revenue was 127 million yuan, a significant increase of 60.8% compared to the same period last year; among which, the revenue of the Robotaxi business in the second quarter was 45.9 million yuan, a significant increase of 836.7% compared to the same period last year, setting a new record for a single quarter since the establishment of the company. According to WeRide's prospectus, WeRide currently has more than 1500 autonomous driving vehicles, of which more than 700 are Robotaxi. It has the largest Robotaxi fleet in the Middle East outside of China and the USA, being the only company in the region to operate commercial Robotaxis. It also has a good operational record of over 2200 days globally, with approximately 55 million kilometers of autonomous driving on public roads.
