CBK HOLDINGS (08428) announced that on October 23, 2025, the company received a winding-up petition filed by (1) CHINA NEW CONS Limited (the first petitioner) and (2) Kai Fung Capital Limited (the second petitioner) at the High Court of Hong Kong on October 16, 2025. The petitioners requested the High Court to order the winding-up of the company on the grounds that the company allegedly failed to repay its debt of HK$1.165 million, being the principal amount of the bonds issued by the company to the first petitioner on August 22, 2024, together with accrued interest. The first petitioner subsequently assigned the debt under the bonds to the second petitioner on May 8, 2025. The petition will be heard at the High Court on December 24, 2025 at 9:30 am.
The filing of the winding-up petition does not mean that the petitioners will successfully wind up the company. As of the date of this announcement, the High Court has not issued a winding-up order to wind up the company.
