CHINA CHENGTONG (00217) announced on October 27, 2025, that Chengtong Finance Lease (an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the company) and China Railway have entered into a co-lease agreement. Chengtong Finance Lease has agreed to purchase China Railway leasing assets from China Railway co-lessee, and then lease the assets back to China Railway co-lessee for a period of 2 years from the date of payment of the purchase price by Chengtong Finance Lease for the China Railway leasing assets. However, the agreement may be terminated early according to the terms and conditions of the co-lease agreement.
The arrangement with China Railway was made as part of Chengtong Finance Lease's general and day-to-day business processes, and it is expected that Chengtong Finance Lease will earn approximately RMB 21.41 million (equivalent to about HKD 23.34 million) in income, which includes service fees and leasing interest under the China Railway arrangement.
