The bank continues to be optimistic about the localization process of the computing power industry chain and the accelerated implementation of AI applications. The bank maintains a "hold" rating on the computer sector.
Guotai Haitong released a research report stating that OpenAI has launched the AI browser ChatGPT Atlas to accelerate the seizure of the internet entrance. The development of a strong tech nation during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period has become a focus, with forward deployment of quantum technology and other future industries. At the same time, several American quantum computing companies are currently in talks with the US Department of Commerce, planning to exchange equity for federal funding support. The domestication process of the computing power industry chain and the acceleration of AI applications are expected to continue to be optimistic. The bank maintains a "buy" rating for the computer sector. Guotai Haitong's main points are as follows: On October 22, OpenAI launched the AI browser ChatGPT Atlas, unveiling the beginning of AI reshaping the internet entrance. GPT Atlas is currently only available for macOS and is open for free to Free, Plus, Pro, and Go users. ChatGPT Atlas has achieved a paradigm shift of "tool + AI," based on the Chromium core, creating a complete architecture including the Context Engine perception layer, the sidebar interaction layer, and the Agent Mode execution layer, upgrading the browser from an information window to an intelligent task terminal. Atlas integrates the agent function released in July, supporting complex operations such as automatic flight booking and food purchasing, leading the definition of the next generation of intelligent browsers. The focus is on becoming a strong tech nation during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, with forward deployment of future industries such as quantum technology. According to the "Proposals of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on the Formulation of the Fifteenth Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development," it is proposed to decisively break through the key core technologies in key areas such as integrated circuits, industrial machine tools, and high-end instruments; the "Proposals" also suggest forward layout of future industries to drive quantum technology, biological manufacturing, hydrogen and nuclear fusion energy, brain-computer interfaces, embodied intelligence, sixth-generation mobile communications, and others to become new economic growth points. These industries are gaining momentum, with the scale of the next 10 years equivalent to creating a new high-tech industry in China, injecting continuous new momentum into the overall high-quality development of the economy. On October 24, the domestic GPU manufacturer Muxi shares were approved by the Sci-Tech Innovation Board IPO meeting, with the company's IPO planning to raise 3.904 billion yuan. Several American quantum computing companies are currently in talks with the US Department of Commerce, planning to replicate the previous "Intel model" exchanging equity for federal funding support, indicating that the Trump administration is expanding its intervention in key economic areas. These quantum computing companies currently in talks include IonQ, Rigetti Computing, D-Wave Quantum, Quantum Computing Inc., and Atom Computing. These companies are discussing making the US government their shareholder as part of receiving specialized technology company funding agreements. In the latest plan to invest in quantum computing companies, these companies are discussing obtaining a minimum funding of $10 million per company from Washington. It is expected that other tech companies will also compete for this funding. Documents from the US Department of Commerce show that besides equity investments, the cooperation may also include warrants, intellectual property licenses, patent royalties, or revenue sharing terms. Risk Warning: Technical developments may not meet expectations, and business expansion may fall short of expectations.
