HSBC Holdings (00005) announced on October 24, 2025 that it has purchased 1.2972 million shares from Merrill Lynch International for cancellation, at a weighted average price of HKD 103.2808 per share.
The company further announced that following the purchase of these shares, the buyback has been completed. Since the buyback began, the company has repurchased 136,301,568 ordinary shares at a weighted average price of GBP 9.8038 per share from UK locations, and repurchased 91.04 million ordinary shares at a weighted average price of HKD 102.5661 per share from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange for cancellation, with a total cost of approximately USD 3 billion.
