CAPITAL ESTATE (00193) announced its financial results for the year ended July 31, 2025, with a net loss attributable to owners of the company of HK$13.895 million, a year-on-year turnaround from profit to loss; loss per share was 6.6 HK cents.
The announcement stated that the turnaround from profit to loss was mainly attributed to (i) a decrease in share of profits of an associated company from HK$20.3 million in the year ended July 31, 2024 to HK$5 million due to a decrease in fair value of investment properties held by the associated company; and (ii) an increase in depreciation of property, plant, and equipment of over HK$2.5 million following the renovation of the group's hotel properties.
