Guangzhou Automobile Group (02238) announced its financial performance for the first three quarters of 2025. The operating income was approximately 66.272 billion yuan, a decrease of 10.49% compared to the same period last year. The net loss attributable to the company's shareholders was around 4.312 billion yuan, a turnaround from profit to loss compared to the same period last year. The basic earnings per share were -0.42 yuan.
The announcement stated that the decline in performance was mainly due to the intense competition in the domestic automotive industry, the rapid upgrade of demand structure leading to a decline in car sales and profits, and the valuation premium of CHENQI TECH Technology Co., Ltd. (stock code: 9680) listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange compared to the same period last year, resulting in a decrease in total profits.
