China Shenhua Energy (01088) announced that recently, its wholly-owned subsidiary Guoneng Shenhua Jiujiang Power Generation Co., Ltd. Phase II Expansion Project ("Jiujiang Phase II") Unit 4 successfully passed the 168-hour continuous full-load trial operation and was transitioned to commercial operation. With this, both of the 2 1 million-kilowatt ultra-supercritical double-reheat coal-fired generating units at Jiujiang Phase II have been completed and put into operation.
Jiujiang Phase II is located in Liusi Town, Hukou County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, and is a major project and supporting clean coal power project in Jiangxi Province's "14th Five-Year Plan". During the trial operation period, the units operated smoothly, with excellent environmental performance, and the emissions of particulate matter, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides met ultra-low emission standards. After the commissioning of Jiujiang Phase II, it will provide strong guarantees for energy security in Jiangxi Province and the central region, and further drive regional socio-economic development.
