NIRAKU (01245) announced on October 16, 2025 (after trading hours) that NBI (a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, as the buyer) has entered into a purchase agreement with Keeth Partners (an independent third-party real estate broker, as the seller) to acquire land and buildings located in Numadai, Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan for a total price of 7.91 billion yen. The transaction is expected to be completed on November 4, 2025. The land consists of 9 independent parcels located in Numadai, Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture, with a total area of approximately 1411.43 square meters. The buildings on the land include 5 buildings with a total floor area of approximately 1265.60 square meters. The buildings are currently operating as a traditional Japanese inn under the name "Atami Yamawabi" and Omine is the current registered owner of the land and buildings. One of the group's main business activities is operating hotels in Japan, with the recent addition of hot spring resorts and traditional Japanese inns to the group's hotel portfolio. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the tourism industry in Japan has seen a strong recovery, with an increasing number of foreign tourists visiting Japan for leisure. The group's management is cautiously optimistic about the continued recovery and development potential of the tourism industry in Japan. The buildings located on the land are a well-established traditional Japanese inn, with its prime resort location being highly attractive to leisure travelers. Numadai is a prestigious community known for its fishing tradition, harbor views, and lush hills, located in the top hot spring resort town of Atami City, Japan. The mild climate and rich ecological environment make Numadai a distinctive tourist resort area, especially renowned for its marine leisure resources and quality hot spring facilities. The land has a private hot spring source, with the hot spring supplied directly from the source. With the addition of this prime traditional Japanese inn to the group's hotel portfolio, the group's management believes that they will be better positioned to seize the business opportunities arising from the recovery and development potential of the tourism industry in Japan.
