Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Launching a special action for "millisecond computing" in urban areas to provide millisecond-level computing resources and network connectivity capabilities within urban areas.
With special actions as a traction, driving all parties of the industry to focus on and facilitate the millisecond calculation channel, promote the construction of millisecond calculation network in a phased manner nationwide, by 2027, forming a comprehensive coverage, efficient and smooth urban millisecond calculation network capability system.
On October 16, the General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a special action on "millisecond computing" in urban areas, focusing on the development of computing power networks, building a high-speed network in urban areas to provide millisecond-level computing resources, ensuring low latency, and ubiquitous coverage. The goal is to achieve millisecond interconnection between computing centers (<1 millisecond) for infrastructure, millisecond access to computing resources (<1 millisecond) for key locations, and millisecond accessibility of computing applications (<10 milliseconds) for end terminals. With this special action as a guide, it will drive all sectors of the industry to focus on establishing smooth millisecond computing channels, gradually promote the construction of millisecond computing networks nationwide, and by 2027, establish a comprehensive and efficient urban millisecond computing network system.
