Salesforce, Inc. recently stated that by deploying artificial intelligence (AI) tools in its customer service operations, this software giant can save about $100 million in expenses each year. Currently, Salesforce, Inc. is actively promoting its AI capabilities, which can handle customer service inquiries, initial sales outreach, and other business scenarios. To demonstrate the value of its Agentforce product to enterprise customers, the company has publicly shared the results of its application of this technology multiple times. At the annual Dreamforce conference in San Francisco, Salesforce, Inc. CEO Marc Benioff disclosed the above data in his speech on Tuesday and revealed that over 12,000 customers are currently using the Agentforce system. For example, Reddit's customer service efficiency has improved by 84% as a result. As a strong advocate of AI technology, Benioff stated last month that he has never been more passionate about anything in his career. However, Wall Street remains concerned about the slow pace of AI technology adoption and the risk that traditional software industry leaders face from being disrupted by AI-native startups. As of Tuesday's closing, Salesforce, Inc. stock fell by 3.61% to $239.77, marking a cumulative decrease of 28% so far this year. Benioff pointed out that AI technology has helped Salesforce, Inc. reach customers that were not previously followed up on by human customer service representatives. He revealed that since the company implemented this technology internally, it has uncovered potential business opportunities worth over $60 million. In August of this year, Benioff mentioned on a podcast that Salesforce, Inc. has reduced thousands of customer service positions through AI technology.
