Secretary for Food and Health Sophia Chan said the first Chinese Medicine Hospital and Government Chinese Medicine Testing Centre in Hong Kong will be phased into service in December this year. The Hong Kong Department of Health will announce a series of arrangements this week.
The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, John Lee Ka-chiu, met with reporters before attending the executive meeting today (14th). He mentioned that the first Chinese Medicine Hospital and the Government Chinese Medicine Testing Centre will be phased into service in December this year. The Hong Kong Department of Health will announce a series of arrangements this week. John Lee Ka-chiu pointed out that the Chinese Medicine Hospital has five major development tasks, including medical services, teaching and training, and creating health value, reflecting the government's commitment. The Chinese Medicine Hospital will serve three main functions, such as providing outpatient and inpatient services.
