According to reports from media such as Sanxiang Metropolitan Daily, on October 13, 2025, around 3:16 am, a serious traffic accident involving a Xiaomi SU7 occurred on the Ren Shou Avenue segment of Tianfu Avenue in Chengdu, Sichuan. According to the dash cam footage of several witnesses, a Xiaomi SU7 was swerving while driving. Some netizens claimed to have heard the driver shouting loudly while waiting at a red light. The vehicle then lost control at high speed, first colliding with a green belt, then rolling over to the opposite lane and catching fire. The dash cam footage of one car owner showed the vehicle speeding past from the right before the collision, followed by a rapid outbreak of fire.
Reports indicated that someone was trapped in the driver's seat, and several passersby spontaneously joined the rescue effort, smashing the car windows with their bare hands or tools. Some bystanders' hands were bleeding, and someone brought a fire extinguisher. However, due to the inability to open the car doors and the rapid spread of the fire, the rescue attempt was unsuccessful. Currently, Xiaomi has not responded to this incident.
