On October 9th, the National Energy Administration stated that according to the monitoring data of the national charging facility monitoring platform, a total of 516.90 million charging sessions for new energy vehicles on highways in China were recorded from October 1st to October 8th, with a total energy consumption of 1.23 billion kilowatt hours. During this year's National Day holiday, the average daily charging amount was 15.35 million kilowatt hours, which is 2.59 times higher than normal days this year, a 23.61% increase from the "May Day" holiday and a 45.73% increase from last year's National Day holiday, reaching a historical high. In order to ensure the charging services on highways during major holidays, the National Energy Administration organized relevant parties to strengthen monitoring using information platforms, guide the addition of temporary charging facilities, allocate more personnel for guidance, and conduct early equipment maintenance, effectively meeting the high demand for charging by new energy vehicles during this year's National Day holiday. In the next step, the National Energy Administration, along with relevant parties, will further implement the work requirements of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, strengthen the construction of charging infrastructure, and continue to ensure the charging needs of new energy vehicles during major holidays.
