According to the data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism data center, during the 8-day National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, there were a total of 8.88 billion domestic trips in the country, which is an increase of 1.23 billion trips from the 7-day National Day holiday in 2024. The total spending on domestic trips during the holiday was 8090.06 billion yuan, an increase of 1081.89 billion yuan from the 7-day National Day holiday in 2024.
2025 National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, various regions introduce rich and colorful cultural and tourism products, services, and activities, and the overall national cultural and tourism market is stable and orderly. According to the data center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, during the 8-day National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, there were a total of 8.88 billion domestic trips nationwide, an increase of 1.23 billion trips compared to the 7-day National Day holiday in 2024; the total domestic travel expenditure was 809.06 billion yuan, an increase of 108.19 billion yuan compared to the 7-day National Day holiday in 2024.
The market heat is rising during the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival. Various regions have innovated the display and experience activities of red tourism attractions, attracting tourists to places like Jinggangshan in Jiangxi, Yan'an in Shaanxi, Orange Isle in Changsha, Hunan, and Nanhu in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, where citizens and tourists can experience patriotic feelings while sightseeing. Harvest and Mid-Autumn Festival themes are popular, with events like the "Autumn Culture Festival" at Huangling Scenic Area in Wuyuan County, Jiangxi, and the "Moon Walk" at the Shanghai Astronomy Museum receiving widespread attention. Museums in Hubei and Shenyang Palace Museum held special activities for the Mid-Autumn festival night, and Changbai Mountain Tourism Area in Jilin launched a hiking route for "slow autumn viewing." Beijing hosted the 9th China Opera Culture Week, featuring exciting performances of Kunqu opera, Gan opera, and Qin opera. Government canteens and parking lots in Guangdong, Gansu, Chongqing, and other places were opened to tourists, while attractions like Mount Laojun in Henan and the Situ Town in Jincheng, Shanxi offered affordable dining options, providing thoughtful services to ensure visitors' comfort.
