The highest peak for daily entry and exit clearance occurred on October 4th, with 2.353 million people.
This National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, national border inspection agencies across the country ensured a total of 16.343 million entries and exits of Chinese and foreign personnel, with an average of 2.043 million people per day, an increase of 11.5% compared to the same period last year. The peak of daily entries and exits occurred on October 4th, reaching 2.353 million people. Among them, mainland residents had 9.165 million entries and exits, an increase of 9.6% compared to the same period last year; Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan residents had 5.744 million entries and exits, an increase of 12.2% compared to the same period last year; foreigners had 1.434 million entries and exits, an increase of 21.6% compared to the same period last year; 751,000 foreigners entered the country, with 535,000 entering under visa exemption policies, an increase of 19.8% and 46.8% respectively compared to the same period last year. A total of 744,000 international transportation vehicles (ships, trains, and vehicles) were inspected, an increase of 11% compared to the same period last year.
In accordance with the unified deployment of the National Immigration Administration, border inspection agencies across the country strictly implemented the requirements of "two announcements and one reminder", timely predicted and released the entry and exit passenger flow situation at each port, and reminded all entry and exit personnel to arrange their travel reasonably and travel during off-peak hours. They organized their duties scientifically, opened enough inspection channels, strictly implemented the measure that Chinese citizens in line for customs clearance should not exceed 30 minutes, strengthened multiple department cooperation, carefully arranged peak period passenger flow diversion and comprehensive support for transportation, responded prudently to extreme weather, and made every effort to ensure smooth customs clearance for passengers. During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday period, the entry and exit at all ports across the country were safe, efficient, and orderly.
