By the end of June 2025, China's foreign financial assets were $1106.45 billion, foreign liabilities were $725.55 billion, and the net foreign assets were $380.90 billion.
In foreign financial assets, direct investment assets were $33.491 billion, securities investment assets were $16.942 billion, financial derivative assets were $2.63 billion, other investment assets were $23.679 billion, and reserve assets were $36.271 billion, accounting for 30%, 15%, 0.2%, 21%, and 33% of foreign financial assets, respectively. In foreign liabilities, direct investment liabilities were $37.174 billion, securities investment liabilities were $21.607 billion, financial derivative liabilities were $2.63 billion, and other investment liabilities were $13.511 billion, accounting for 51%, 30%, 0.4%, and 19% of foreign liabilities, respectively.
Valued in SDR, as of the end of June 2025, China's foreign financial assets were 80.528 billion SDR, foreign liabilities were 52.806 billion SDR, and net foreign assets were 27.722 billion SDR.
