From January to August, the value added of the electronic information manufacturing industry above a certain scale increased by 10.8% year-on-year, with growth rates 4.6 and 1.3 percentage points higher than the industrial sector and high-tech manufacturing sector respectively during the same period. In August, the value added of the electronic information manufacturing industry above a certain scale increased by 9.9% year-on-year. Among the main products, there were 961 million mobile phones produced, a decrease of 4% year-on-year, with 758 million smartphones produced, an increase of 1% year-on-year; 220 million units of microcomputer equipment produced, an increase of 0.9% year-on-year; and 342.9 billion integrated circuits produced, an increase of 8.8% year-on-year.
