HUA HONG SEMI (01347) announcement that Chuangsheng Financial Limited (a licensed corporation engaging in Type 1 (securities trading) and Type 6 (advising on corporate finance) regulated activities under the Securities and Futures Ordinance) has been appointed as the independent financial adviser in Hong Kong. They will provide advice on the fairness and reasonableness of the proposed acquisition, special deal mandates related to the proposed acquisition, and waivers of whitewash waivers to the independent board committee, independent shareholders under the Code on Takeovers and Mergers, and independent shareholders under the Listing Rules in relation to the matters mentioned and make recommendations on the voting at the shareholders' special meeting. In accordance with Rule 2.1 of the Code on Takeovers and Mergers, the independent board committee has approved the appointment of Chuangsheng Financial Limited as the independent financial adviser in Hong Kong.
