On September 19th, Alibaba Cloud announced that the new action generation model Wan2.2-Animate from Tongyixiang is officially open source. This model supports driving characters, animated images, and animal photos, and can be applied in areas such as short video creation, dance template generation, and animation production. Users can now download the model and code on Github, HuggingFace, and the Modash community, or experience it directly on the Alibaba Cloud Bai Lian platform.
The Wan2.2-Animate model is a comprehensive upgrade based on the previously open-sourced Animate Anyone model from Tongyixiang, not only significantly improving metrics such as character consistency and generation quality, but also supporting two modes of action imitation and role-playing.
Since February of this year, Tongyixiang has continuously open-sourced more than 20 models, with a download volume exceeding 30 million on open-source communities and third-party platforms, making it one of the most popular video generation models in the open-source community. The Tongyixiang model family now supports over 10 visual creative abilities including text-to-image, text-to-video, image-to-video, voice-to-video, and action generation.
