Organized by the Hong Kong Productivity Council and supported by the "Maritime and Aviation Training Fund" under the Hong Kong Transportation and Logistics Bureau's "Logistics Promotion Funding Scheme", the "Logistics Technology Expo 2025" was held today. The event attracted more than a thousand participants, with the attendance exceeding last year's by over 100%, and more than 60 exhibitors showcased cutting-edge logistics technologies such as smart logistics, green supply chain, and digital solutions, reflecting the industry's urgent need for technological application and innovative transformation.
The expo actively responded to and cooperated with the policy directions set out in the "Policy Address for 2025", fully supporting the relevant measures taken by the SAR Government to consolidate Hong Kong's position as an international shipping center. These measures include building a digital port system, establishing a green ship fuel bunkering center, maximizing the advantages of high value-added maritime services, and supporting the development of the modern logistics industry.
The expo focused on exploring five key areas to promote the high-quality development of Hong Kong's logistics industry, including new productivity, low-altitude economy, ESG and sustainable development, transportation and logistics, and smart supply chain management. These areas closely align with the policy directions outlined in the Policy Address to promote the greening and digitalization of the port, and the establishment of a modern logistics circle, providing the industry with specific technical pathways and solutions to implement the policies.
In his opening speech, the Chief Technology Officer of the Hong Kong Productivity Council, Zhang Zichang, stated that this year's Policy Address also emphasized leveraging Hong Kong's international advantages to help businesses expand into international markets. With an increasing number of mainland enterprises actively expanding into the Belt and Road and global southern markets, the Hong Kong logistics industry not only plays a crucial role as a bridge but also serves as an important force driving high-quality transformation.
