On September 18, S&P Global announced a strategic partnership with Alibaba Group's (09988) technology company Alibaba Cloud, bringing S&P Global's AI-ready commodity data into China for the first time. Starting from August 31, Chinese customers can access commodity data sets covering energy, metals, chemicals, and agriculture more directly through Alibaba Cloud's object storage service.
By localizing the deployment of AI-ready data on Alibaba Cloud's OSS, S&P Global effectively addressed the challenges that Chinese customers have long faced in terms of data. Customers can now securely and conveniently access structured, high-quality data sets and immediately put them into use without the need for complex data preprocessing or customized integration. This data can seamlessly integrate with Alibaba Cloud's analytics services and AI engines, including the Qwen large language model, helping companies gain insights faster, ensure data integrity within compliance frameworks, and provide ready-to-use solutions for embedding world-class market intelligence into AI strategies.
