Nestle (NSRGY.US) CEO Philipp Navratil said on Thursday that he hopes the global food giant can accelerate its actions and remain open-minded to new ideas. This is his first public comment since taking over as CEO of Nestle earlier this month.
After a global employee event, Philipp Navratil posted on LinkedIn, "What can each of us do to make Nestle better, smarter, faster? We are moving forward together quickly and remain open to how to achieve the future of delicious, healthy, affordable food."
Philipp Navratil was promoted after his predecessor Laurent Freixe was dismissed due to an undisclosed office relationship. He stated that he is also focused on achieving Nestle's 2025 goals - in July of this year, Nestle stated that organic sales growth is expected to accelerate this year and profit margins are expected to reach or exceed 16%.
It is worth mentioning that on Tuesday night, Nestle Chairman Paul Bulcke stepped down early. This news comes just weeks after the dismissal of former CEO Freixe. Both Bulcke and Freixe are long-term Nestle insiders. The rapid departure of these two key executives is seen as a signal of potential significant changes within the company. Investors and analysts believe that Bulcke's early resignation provides an opportunity for the new leadership to accelerate growth, address underperforming businesses, and tackle sales declines.
