The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, John Lee Ka-chiu, attended a meeting before the event and announced that he will release his fourth Policy Address during his term tomorrow. The cover of the Policy Address will continue to use the color green, which symbolizes vitality and continuity. It also represents that the policies of the SAR government and the prosperity of Hong Kong will continue to move forward year by year towards a better tomorrow.
John Lee Ka-chiu stated that the theme of this Policy Address is to deepen reform, care for people's livelihoods, leverage strengths, and create a shared future. The main focus will revolve around the economy and livelihoods, reflecting his past governance philosophy of economic development and improving people's livelihoods.
He mentioned that before drafting this Policy Address, the government conducted over 40 consultation sessions and engaged in direct exchanges with different individuals and communities. The government received 10,100 submissions of opinions from various channels, and he expressed gratitude to all citizens and organizations who provided feedback.
After the release of the Policy Address tomorrow, John Lee Ka-chiu and his team will explain the government's policies to different media outlets or organizations.
