PayPal (PYPL.US) launches personalized link transfer service and integrates cryptocurrency into the payment process.
PayPal announced on Monday the launch of personalized link transfer service. In addition, PayPal stated that they will further enhance the P2P payment experience, with cryptocurrency soon to be directly integrated into its new P2P payment process within the app.
PayPal (PYPL.US) announced on Monday the launch of a new payment service, allowing users to generate personalized one-time payment links to easily transfer funds in any conversation setting.
The company stated that starting immediately, users in the United States can create personalized payment links through PayPal. The service is set to expand to international markets in late September, initially covering countries such as the United Kingdom and Italy.
Additionally, PayPal mentioned that they will further enhance the P2P payment experience by directly integrating cryptocurrency into their new P2P payment process within the app.
This adjustment will bring convenience to U.S. users, as they will be able to transfer cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, PayPal USD stablecoin, directly to PayPal, Venmo (a PayPal-owned payment platform), and other digital wallets worldwide that support cryptocurrencies and stablecoins.
