AstraZeneca PLC Sponsored ADR (AZN.US) Suspends UK Investment Plan, Rating Downgraded by Institutions Again.
Earlier reports claimed that AstraZeneca had suspended its major investment in the domestic market.
Swedish commercial bank Handelsbanken has downgraded its rating on Astrazeneca PLC Sponsored ADR (AZN.US) from "buy" to "hold", citing optimism about the company's goal of achieving $80 billion in total revenue by 2030. Earlier reports indicated that the company had suspended significant investments in its domestic market. This UK's largest listed company has become the latest pharmaceutical company to scale back its operations in the country. A company spokesperson said last Friday evening that it had halted a 200 million (approximately $272.12 million) investment plan at its Cambridge research center, which is a blow to the UK government.
