The Coca-Cola Company (KO.US) has made a key adjustment to its subsidiary Red Tree Beverages, which is responsible for managing the alcoholic beverage business in the United States, in order to drive the growth of this business sector. Red Tree Beverages has entered into a new partnership with the liquor giant Sazerac: this American family-owned alcoholic beverage company will take over the production and distribution of "Fresca Mixed," the soon-to-be-launched "Fresca Hard," and "Minute Maid Spiked." These brands were previously operated by Constellation Brands (STZ.US) and will now transition to Sazerac. Through this new agreement, the private company Sazerac will play a significant role in Coca-Cola Company's American alcoholic ready-to-drink (RTD) product portfolio. The "Minute Maid Spiked" beverages under Red Tree Beverages include various ready-to-drink products such as vodka pink lemonade, fruit punch, lime margarita, and strawberry daiquiri, with both vodka-based and wine-based categories. In addition, Red Tree Beverages has also entered into an authorized partnership with Molson Coors (TAP.US) to manage the business related to the "Topo Chico Hard Seltzer" brand. Analysts predict that with the continuous expansion of the alcoholic ready-to-drink beverage category, Red Tree Beverages is expected to achieve strong growth by 2026. As of now, the stock price of Coca-Cola Company has increased by 9.2% year-to-date.
