National Bureau of Statistics: From January to August, the total fixed asset investment nationwide was 32.6111 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%.
According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to August 2025, the fixed asset investment in the country (excluding rural households) was 3.26111 trillion yuan, an increase of 0.5% year-on-year (calculated on a comparable basis).
On September 15th, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed that from January to August 2025, the national fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) was 32,611.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.5% (calculated on a comparable basis). Among them, private fixed asset investment decreased by 2.3% year-on-year. Looking at a month-on-month basis, fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) decreased by 0.20% in August.
By industry, investment in the primary industry was 646.1 billion yuan, an increase of 5.5% year-on-year; investment in the secondary industry was 1,182.5 billion yuan, an increase of 7.6%; investment in the tertiary industry was 2,014 billion yuan, a decrease of 3.4%.
In the secondary industry, industrial investment increased by 7.7% year-on-year. Among them, mining investment increased by 3.0%, manufacturing investment increased by 5.1%, and investment in electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply increased by 18.8%.
In the tertiary industry, infrastructure investment (excluding electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply) increased by 2.0% year-on-year. Among them, investment in water transport increased by 15.9%, investment in water management increased by 7.4%, and investment in railway transportation increased by 4.5%.
Looking at different regions, investment in the eastern region decreased by 3.5% year-on-year, while investment in the central region increased by 2.5% and investment in the western region increased by 2.3%. Investment in the northeastern region decreased by 6.0%.
By type of registration, domestic enterprises' fixed asset investment increased by 0.5% year-on-year, investment by enterprises from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan increased by 2.3%, and foreign-funded enterprises' fixed asset investment decreased by 15.4%.
