G42 seeks diversified chip suppliers to reduce reliance on NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US).
The G42 plan aims to diversify chip suppliers for the UAE-USA artificial intelligence (AI) park, moving beyond just NVIDIA (NVDA.US).
According to reports, the Abu Dhabi-backed technology group G42 plans to diversify chip suppliers for the UAE-US artificial intelligence (AI) hub, no longer limited to NVIDIA Corporation.
The report states that the group is still in negotiations with major US tech companies including Amazon.com, Inc., Microsoft Corporation, Meta, and Elon Musk's xAI, inviting them to be tenants in the data center, with negotiations with Alphabet Inc. Class C making the most progress.
The report states that G42 is seeking to collaborate with chip manufacturers AMD, Cerebras Systems, and Qualcomm to provide some of the computational capabilities for the hub.
The AI hub was announced during the visit of former US President Donald Trump to the UAE in May, when he announced a deal with the Gulf country worth over $200 billion.
