According to industry insiders and analysts on Monday, European aircraft manufacturer Airbus (EADSY.US) needs to deliver aircraft at a record pace in order to achieve its annual target. The world's largest aircraft manufacturer's delivery target for this year is a 7% year-on-year increase to 820 jet aircraft, but it has been hit by delays in receiving engines and cabin equipment. Aircraft deliveries determine the company's revenue and cash flow generation, and also affect airlines' growth plans. It is worth noting that Airbus has been locked in a tug-of-war with engine manufacturer CFM as airlines compete for spare engines, which is in competition with the demand for new aircraft assembly lines. The company stated in July that it is also facing engine delivery delays from Pratt & Whitney. In July of this year, Airbus reaffirmed its annual delivery target of around 820 aircraft. Analysts said Airbus delivered around 60 aircraft in August. The actual monthly delivery data will be released on Friday. Analysts said that if confirmed, this delivery volume would be significantly higher than the usual low season in the summer, but the cumulative delivery volume for 2025 is still expected to be about 3% lower than the 433 aircraft delivered in the same period last year.
