On August 25th, NETDRAGON (00777) announced that it has signed a significant milestone cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Secondary Education of Cameroon (MINESEC) to promote digital education development in Cameroon. This cooperation is part of the Secondary Education and Skills Development Project (PADESCE) supported by the World Bank, aimed at addressing key challenges faced by local secondary education and improving education equity and quality.
As the initial stage of the collaboration plan, both parties will first promote the digital transformation of 250 schools nationwide in Cameroon, using advanced educational technology to create a more inclusive and modern learning environment. This project closely aligns with the core goals of PADESCE to improve the accessibility, equity, and quality of secondary education, and actively responds to Cameroon's National Development Strategy 2030 (NDS30).
Cameroon's Minister of Secondary Education, Professor Nalova Lyonga, emphasized the importance of this collaboration: "This collaboration is based on the overall framework of PADESCE and is a key step towards achieving education for all, allowing students from anywhere to access quality education resources. By introducing digital tools and innovative teaching resources, we hope to reduce education disparities, empower teachers, and nurture the next generation with global competitiveness. This collaboration with NETDRAGON demonstrates our firm commitment to promoting education reform and achieving national development goals."
Dr. Liang Nianjian, Vice Chairman of NETDRAGON, said: "We are honored to support the Ministry of Secondary Education of Cameroon and the PADESCE project, working together to promote education reform in Cameroon. Through deploying scalable, sustainable, and tailored solutions that meet the actual needs of schools in Cameroon, we hope to build a digital learning environment that promotes education equity, empowers teachers, and inspires students' potential. This project fully demonstrates the enormous potential of technology in changing lives and driving social development."
This cooperation will deliver Promethean APLX 65-inch interactive panels and Android OPS devices, integrating online and offline features into an integrated learning platform, as well as a comprehensive teacher training system. These resources are intended to enhance teaching quality, improve digital literacy, and help students and teachers acquire key skills and tools needed for success in modern society.
