Elon Musk called on people to join his artificial intelligence company xAI on Friday to combat the software giant Microsoft.
Tesla, Inc. CEO Elon Musk called on people to join his artificial intelligence company xAI on Friday to fight against software giant Microsoft Corporation. Musk posted on the X platform, "Join @xAI to help create a pure artificial intelligence software company called Macrohard. Although the name may sound a bit playful, this project is real! In principle, companies like Microsoft Corporation, which do not produce any physical hardware themselves, should be able to be completely simulated by artificial intelligence."
According to media reports, xAI submitted a trademark registration application for "Macrohard" to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on August 1, which was widely seen as a public challenge to Microsoft Corporation.
It is known that as early as July 14, Musk hinted on the X platform that xAI was preparing a subsidiary focused on programming and image generation in artificial intelligence, and some netizens correctly guessed the new company's name as "Macrohard."
The feud between Musk and Microsoft Corporation founder Bill Gates has a long history. Musk has publicly accused Gates of shorting Tesla, Inc., causing harm to ordinary investors. The two also have serious disagreements on issues such as climate change and electric vehicles.
Microsoft Corporation did not respond to media requests for comment.
