According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, in terms of retail formats, in the period from January to July, the retail sales of convenience stores, supermarkets, department stores, specialty stores, and brand specialty stores increased by 7.0%, 5.2%, 1.1%, 5.8%, and 1.9% year-on-year, respectively. However, it was still 1.1 percentage points higher than the average growth rate in the same period of the past three years. From January to July, the total retail sales of consumer goods reached 28.4238 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.8%, with the growth rate falling by 0.2 percentage points compared to the first half of the year. Stable growth in urban and rural consumer goods markets In July, urban retail sales of consumer goods reached 3.362 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.6% year-on-year, with the growth rate falling by 1.2 percentage points compared to June; rural retail sales of consumer goods reached 516 billion yuan, an increase of 3.9%, with the growth rate falling by 0.6 percentage points compared to June. From January to July, urban retail sales of consumer goods reached 24.667 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.8% year-on-year, with the growth rate falling by 0.2 percentage points compared to the first half of the year; rural retail sales of consumer goods reached 3.7569 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.7% year-on-year, with the growth rate falling by 0.2 percentage points compared to the first half of the year.
