On August 14th, LENOVO GROUP announced its performance for the first quarter of the 2025/26 fiscal year: quarterly revenue increased by 22% year-on-year to 136.2 billion yuan, reaching a historical high for the same period; net profit under non-Hong Kong financial reporting standards increased by 22% year-on-year to 2.816 billion yuan, significantly enhancing profitability.
During this quarter, the IDG business continued to perform well, achieving a strong year-on-year revenue growth of 17.8% to reach 97.3 billion yuan. Among them, the PC business continued to outperform the market, maintaining its position as the global leader with a market share of 24.6%, expanding its lead over the second place by 3.9 percentage points. It achieved the fastest growth in 15 quarters with a 20% year-on-year increase, with all regions including the Chinese market experiencing double-digit growth. AI PC continued to drive industry growth, with Lenovo's AI PC shipments accounting for over 30% of total PC shipments during the reporting period, and the proportion of AI PCs with "five major AI features" in the Chinese market reaching 27% of total laptop shipments, with significant increase in user activity for the "Tianxi" personal super intelligent entities, with an average weekly active user ratio of 40%.
In the smartphone sector, it also achieved a 14% revenue growth, with sales growth outpacing the market for the eighth consecutive quarter. The Motorola brand continued to perform strongly, maintaining the number one position in the overseas folding screen sub-market, with a market share exceeding 50%. Under the drive of AI, product, and operations, it further consolidated its position in the high-end market.
Currently, the global PC market is experiencing an unexpected recovery. According to IDC data, global PC shipments increased by 6.5% year-on-year in the second quarter of 2025 to reach 68.4 million units. AI PC has become a key variable driving demand, with a projected year-on-year growth of 77% in 2025, and expected to account for 70% of total PC shipments by 2027. At the same time, the smartphone industry is stabilizing against the trend driven by the AI terminal boom. Counterpoint data shows that in the second quarter, global smartphone revenue exceeded $100 billion for the first time, with average selling prices reaching a historical high for the same period.
Looking ahead, Lenovo will continue to promote the "end-to-end" layout to create personalized artificial intelligence experiences through terminal devices. The company is accelerating the construction of a unified platform for cross-device, cross-operating system "end-edge-cloud" collaboration, connecting personal knowledge libraries and application scenarios across multiple terminal forms such as PC, smartphone, and tablet, to promote the formation of a unified AI entry point and a personalized experience loop for continuous evolution.
