The Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced today (August 7) that Hong Kong's official foreign exchange reserves at the end of July 2025 were $425.4 billion (compared to $432 billion at the end of June 2025). Including unsettled foreign exchange contracts, Hong Kong's foreign exchange reserves at the end of July 2025 were $424.5 billion (compared to $431.9 billion at the end of June 2025). The total foreign exchange reserves of $425.4 billion is equivalent to over 5 times the circulating currency in Hong Kong, or approximately 37% of the Hong Kong dollar money supply M3.
