Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding (02607) announced that on July 25, 2025, the company (buyer) and Shangshi Dongtan (seller) intend to enter into a share transfer agreement, with the company intending to acquire 10% equity in the financial company from the seller for approximately RMB 143 million. As of the date of this announcement, the financial company is owned 40% by Shanghai Shangshi, 30% by the company, 20% by Shangshi Asset, and 10% by Shangshi Dongtan. After the completion of the acquisition, the company will directly hold 40% equity in the financial company.
Since its establishment, the financial company has steadily expanded its asset size, gradually optimized its asset structure, and maintained stable profitability. Starting in 2016, the financial company has distributed cash dividends annually, with total dividends amounting to approximately RMB 2.3 billion to date. After the completion of the acquisition, the company will strengthen its control over major decision-making of the financial company, while further obtaining stable and sufficient investment returns.
