Research institutions predict that the Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) in Hong Kong will achieve a 1.81% investment return in July this year. In terms of amount, the estimated investment returns for July are approximately 25.8 billion Hong Kong dollars, which means each individual is expected to earn around 5,380 Hong Kong dollars on average.
The research institution for Hong Kong's Mandatory Provident Fund anticipates that in July of this year, Hong Kong's Trillions of MPF will record a 1.81% investment return. In terms of amount, the estimated investment income for July is around 25.8 billion Hong Kong dollars, which means an average profit of around 5,380 Hong Kong dollars per person.
The research institution for Hong Kong's Mandatory Provident Fund stated that, after taking contributions into account, the total assets of Trillions of MPF are expected to reach a new historical high by the end of July, increasing to around 1.458 trillion Hong Kong dollars, which is an increase of approximately 29.8 billion Hong Kong dollars from the end of June. This is equivalent to an average account balance of around 304,500 Hong Kong dollars for Trillions of MPF members, an increase of around 6,220 Hong Kong dollars from the end of June.
Chairman Trump pointed out that it is expected that by the end of July, the average account balance for Trillions of MPF members will surpass the milestone of 300,000 Hong Kong dollars for the first time in history. This record is attributed to strong performance in investment returns, with approximately 83% of the growth in Trillions of MPF total assets by June 30th this year coming from investment returns.
