On July 19, the National Export Control Office organized a meeting in Nanning, Guangxi to promote a special action against the smuggling of strategic minerals. The meeting called for relevant departments to continue and intensify the special action, establish a joint law enforcement coordination center for dual-use exports, strictly and promptly investigate major illegal cases, and promptly announce typical law enforcement and judicial cases. It also emphasized the prevention of diversion of exports, the inclusion of overseas end-users who evade national export control measures in the export control list, the development and publication of guidelines for the legal export of strategic minerals, and the guidance of warning to export companies to conduct due diligence and prevent the illegal use of related items for military purposes.
