Billions of business opportunities! The United States loosens restrictions on AI chip exports, ASML Holding NV ADR (ASML.US) CFO predicts surge in market demand.

ASML Holding NV ADR Chief Financial Officer Roger Dassen said in a financial report conference call on Wednesday that if the US government lifts export restrictions on some artificial intelligence (AI) processors, it "will have a positive impact on chip demand."
This week, NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) announced that it has received assurance from the US government allowing it to export some previously banned chip products to China. Its main competitor, AMD (AMD.US), subsequently also issued a similar announcement.
The approval of these export licenses is expected to bring in billions of dollars in annual revenue for related companies and marks a significant shift in US government policy position - the Trump administration had previously insisted that the issue was non-negotiable.
As a manufacturer of the most advanced chip manufacturing equipment globally, ASML Holding NV ADR will benefit from the increased demand brought by customer exports to China.
However, trade disputes and global tensions continue to impact the sales performance of this Dutch company. On Wednesday, ASML Holding NV ADR lowered its previous expectations for next year's performance, with Dassen specifically highlighting the risk pressure brought by tariff policies.
