Data from the Statistics and Census Bureau of Macao shows that the overall residential building price index for the period from March to May 2025 was 200.7, a decrease of 1.4% compared to the previous period (February to April 2025).
According to data from the Statistics and Census Bureau of Macau, the overall residential building price index for March to May 2025 was 200.7, a decrease of 1.4% compared to the previous period (February to April 2025). The existing residential index (218.3) dropped by 1.4%, while the pre-sale index (212.9) saw a decrease of 0.8%. In terms of existing properties, the Macau Peninsula (207.3) and Cotai area (262.0) both experienced a decrease of 0.9% and 2.9% respectively. When categorized by building age, the residential building price index for buildings 11 to 20 years old and 6 to 10 years old dropped by 2% and 1.6% respectively. When looking at the price index per unit area, residential buildings measuring 75 to 99.9 square meters saw a decrease of 2.4% compared to the previous period. The decrease for buildings below 50 square meters and above 100 square meters was also 1.4%. Compared to the same period last year, the overall residential building price index decreased by 8.7% annually. The indices for the Macau Peninsula (198.7) and Cotai area (208.7) experienced drops of 8.5% and 9.5% respectively.
