U.S. Lifts Export Restrictions on Siemens’ Chip Design Software to China
The U.S. Senate passed the “Big and Beautiful” tax and spending bill by a 51–50 vote, projecting a $3.3 trillion increase in the U.S. deficit by 2034, while the dollar index fell below 96.50, its lowest since February 2022.
On July 2 local time, Siemens AG confirmed it had received official notification from the U.S. government indicating the removal of export restrictions on chip design software to China. In its statement, the German company announced that full access to its software and technologies has been reinstated for Chinese clients. The update was reported by CCTV News.
