The international investment company Dripping Investment, founded by former CEO of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Charles Li Xiaojia, submitted its application to go public on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on June 18th under Chapter 21 of the listing rules.
HKEX former CEO Li Xiaojia founded Drip Irrigation International Investment Company (Drip Investment), and on June 18th, according to Chapter 21 of the Listing Rules, applied to HKEX as an investment company with the goal of listing on the main board this year. Li Xiaojia stated that the company's development has entered the 3.0 stage and hopes to create a "transformer" which converts non-standardized financing opportunities in the real economy into standardized products familiar to the financial system in order to attract capital inflow. Drip has raised a total of $570 million through 3 rounds of financing and currently has a valuation of $1.7 billion. The company's official website shows that Drip Irrigation Group is an exchange group that uses financial technology to connect global capital with small and micro enterprises. Through an innovative revenue-sharing model, small businesses can list on the Macau Financial Asset Exchange (MCEX) and raise convenient and affordable long-term capital. Drip Irrigation introduced the first revenue-based asset category - Revenue Based Obligations (RBOs) - which provides investors with direct and diversified investment opportunities, accessing daily cash flow in the global active consumer economy, while making it easier for small and micro enterprises to obtain lower-cost funding. Through MCEX, Drip Irrigation provides convenience and liquidity for global professional investors to invest in small businesses, offering a new choice for impact investing. Information shows that the Macau Financial Asset Exchange (MCEX), also known as Drip Irrigation MCEX, is the world's first licensed revenue-based exchange. MCEX provides financial asset trading services, aiming to connect international capital to global small and micro enterprises accurately through digitization. Through an innovative revenue-sharing model, small and micro enterprises can list on MCEX and raise flexible and affordable funds. Li Xiaojia previously mentioned that the new system of MCEX has been licensed for two years and has been in operation for nearly a year. The new system is a digital carrier product, rather than an entity company or fund organized under traditional company law, securities law, and fund law, with the expectation of making the small and micro market structure lighter and lower-cost in the future. The exchange is a fully digital market that ensures investor protection through high-frequency dividends, precise disclosure, and practical thresholds, requiring listed companies to distribute almost all of their income with a dividend frequency of no less than monthly.
