In US dollar terms, in the first quarter of 2025, China had a current account surplus of 165.4 billion dollars, including a merchandise trade surplus of 237.5 billion dollars, a service trade deficit of 59.3 billion dollars, a primary income deficit of 15.5 billion dollars, and a secondary income surplus of 2.8 billion dollars. The capital and financial account had a deficit of 140.7 billion dollars, with a capital account deficit of 0.1 billion dollars and a financial account deficit of 140.6 billion dollars.
In terms of Special Drawing Rights (SDR), in the first quarter of 2025, China had a current account surplus of 126 billion SDR, and a capital and financial account deficit of 106.8 billion SDR. (End)
