In May 2025, the National Energy Administration issued 215 million green certificates, a decrease of 0.59% from the previous month, involving 127,100 renewable energy generation projects. Among them, 130 million green certificates were eligible for trading, accounting for 60.31% of the total; this period also saw the issuance of 157 million green certificates corresponding to renewable energy generation in April 2025, accounting for 73.20%. From January to May 2025, the National Energy Administration issued a total of 1.093 billion green certificates, with 762 million being eligible for trading.
Green certificate trading situation:
In May 2025, a total of 29.87 million green certificates were traded nationwide, with 10.05 million trading under the CHINA GREEN label. From January to May 2025, there were a total of 287 million green certificates traded nationwide, with 96.23 million under the CHINA GREEN label. (A decrease of 1.68 million in trading green certificates from January to April)
In May 2025, a total of 19.82 million green certificates were traded separately nationwide, with an average trading price of 2.73 yuan per certificate, an increase of 18.12% from the previous month.
