On June 11, the Hong Kong Financial Development Bureau (HKFDBA) signed a memorandum of understanding with TheCityUK to strengthen cooperation in the financial sector between the UK and Hong Kong, deepening their strategic partnership. This collaboration will focus on several key areas, including financial transformation, virtual assets, and capacity building, with the aim of ensuring the competitive edge of both markets in the evolving global financial landscape. At the same time, a cooperative framework will be established to support financial dialogues between the UK and Hong Kong, promote knowledge exchange on regulatory practices, innovative financial products, and emerging financial service opportunities. Dr. K.C. Kwok, Executive Director of the HKFDBA, said, "This collaboration fully demonstrates the close ties between two leading global financial centers.
