On May 26, 2025, the results of the China Construction Bank Corporation's server procurement project were announced, and Lenovo (Beijing) Information Technology Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid for the HaiGuang chip server procurement project, along with Xinhua San Information Technology Co., Ltd., and Inspur Electronic Information Industry Co., Ltd., with a bid amount exceeding 1.1 billion yuan.
In the bidding for the Construction Bank's HaiGuang chip server project, a total of five companies including Chinese Academy of Sciences Controlled Information Industry Co., Ltd., Xinhua San Information Technology Co., Ltd., Lenovo (Beijing) Information Technology Co., Ltd., Super Cloud Digital Technology Group Co., Ltd., and Inspur Electronic Information Industry Co., participated in the bidding. Lenovo stood out with its technical advantages, product performance, and comprehensive solutions in the server field.
Looking back at Lenovo's fourth quarter financial report for 2024/2025, its Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) performed well, with a 63% year-on-year revenue growth for the quarter and achieving profits for the second consecutive quarter. Its innovation capability has set a demonstration effect in high-frequency trading, energy, medical, and other industries. In the Chinese market, ISG's quarterly revenue doubled year-on-year.
Winning the bid for the Construction Bank's HaiGuang chip server project further corroborates Lenovo's ISG business competitiveness and influence in the market. It also highly recognizes Lenovo's server product technical strength and product quality.
The HaiGuang chip adopts the X86 architecture, and through cooperation with AMD, it has obtained complete technical authorization, making it directly compatible with Windows/Linux systems and traditional software ecosystems.
